What is your account minimum to open an account?
To open an account a client must deposit US$5,000 ( or USD$5,000 equivalent). In addition, per FINRA margin rule, a pattern day trader will need a minimum initial trading capital of US$25,000 (or US$25,000 equivalent).

Are Atom Global Trading Accounts secured?
Yes. Atom Global Trading is a member of SIPC (Securities Investor Protection Corporation), which protects your account(s) up to $500,000, including $100,000 in cash claims. This coverage does not protect against losses due to fluctuations in the market value of securities. Also, futures contracts and options on futures are not secured.

Which company does Atom Global Trading clear through?
We clear through Penson Financial Services, a Dallas, Texas based clearing broker dealer, offering fully disclosed and omnibus clearing services to banks and broker dealers. Member FINRA & SIPC

How can I withdrawal my funds?
It can be processed online or please fill out the withdrawal form and fax to 312-588-1944.

How can I fund my funds?
The preferred method of funding your account is by wiring. There will be no holding period until depositing checks. Please visit the following site for more details.

The requirement for wire may vary at each firm. If you are unsure about the information they are asking, please contact us.

You can write a check as well. Please make all checks payable to Penson Financial Services, Inc. Please make sure to put your account number on the check and mail to :

How can I transfer securities from other broker to my Atom Global Trading account?
Yes. There are two different ways. One is for a full account transfer, the other is for a partial transfer.
For a full account transfer (all cash and all stock), you will need to complete our Account Transfer Form (ACAT) and send it to Atom Global Trading with a copy of your most recent statement.

For a partial transfer of securities, you may send the securities via DTC. Please provide the following information including stocks you wish to transfer to your current broker.

How long does it take for a personal check to be posted to my account?
It often takes 10 days. Once your bank clears the funds, the funds will be available for trading. Atom Global Trading recommends sending a wire to avoid a lengthy hold on a check.

What happens after I fund my account?
After our clearing firm receives the funds in the account, you will receive an email notifying you that the account has been funded. You will also be given instructions on how and when you will be able to access your account through the trading platform.

Can I write checks from my trading account?
Yes, you must fill out a Check Writing Application . Please print, fill out, and mail us the Check Writing Application.

I have received a Form 1042-S. What is this form?
A report of income earned and applicable withholding tax from income, dividend, royalty, and etc for non U.S resident aliens.

How do I get my yearly trade tax reports?
You may download your tax reports by either importing the data into Quicken or by generating a P&L Report from the Penson Client Connection. You can access to Penson Client Connection through our web site by clicking on "Log in".

When will the software charges start for my new account?
When you open a new account, you will not be charged any software fees until you log in to the software. Please note that both software and exchange data fees will be charged the full fee for the month.
